With the recent passing of music legend, current music stars and celebrities have paid respect to the late singer by sharing memories of the the music of Etta James influenced their own musical journey.

Among those stars is 2011 UK stand out Adele who said "Her (Etta) voice was breathtaking and her songs are relections we all recognize in some way or another".

Did I miss all the promotion on the new season of Idol?! I didn't know  that Idol was back until late last week.

I don't exactly when FOX starting promoting the show, but it seems like the network gave way more love to the premiere season the X Factor. Which kinda makes sense since it was the show's first season.

Katy Perry has announced that she will not be attending the People's Choice Awards tonight :(

It would have been the pop stars first public appearance since announcing her split from outspoken brit Russell Brand!

Perry is nominated for 7 awards at tonights People's Choice Awards which airs on CBS.

We can only keep our fingers crossed that Katy will make it to the Grammy's next month.
